ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Memorial services for Kevin Adams Carson, 63, of Kenneth City, Fla., who died Tuesday, April 16, 2019, following a brief illness, will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday at The Chattaway, in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Born Jan. 10, 1956, in Portsmouth, Va., Kevin was founder and owner of Adams-Carson Corporation, the umbrella company that operates DJE Store Fixtures in Largo, Fla., and the online store DisplayMart.com. He previously worked for 25 years in Modern Graphic Arts in St. Petersburg.
He was a 1973 graduate of South Natchez-Adams High School and a graduate of Pinellas Technical College, and also attended Copiah-Lincoln Junior College in Natchez.
While living in Natchez, Carson worked at the Natchez Democrat and was an on-air personality at the local radio station WNAT-AM.
He moved to St. Petersburg in 1977 and fell in love. He and Cindy Tribble married in 1981, and made a family together. Although he enjoyed music, local sports and nature, his love for his family and friends meant everything to him.
Carson was preceded in death by one daughter, Amy Elizabeth Carson; his mother and stepfather, Martha H. Coon and Warren H. Koon; his father, Burton E. Carson II; and one brother, Burton E. “Skip” Carson III.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy; one son, Shawn Carson and wife, Amanda Munoz Carson, of St. Petersburg; one grandson, Elijah Carson of St. Petersburg; one granddaughter, Matilda Carson of St. Petersburg; two sisters, Kim Carson-Whitt and husband, John, of Moselle, and Kelly Carson of Gothenburg, Neb.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
