NATCHEZ— Services for Austin “Troy” Whitley, 56, of Natchez, who died Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Merit Health Central in Jackson, will 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Wright officiating.    
Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3:30 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Whitley was born on March 16, 1963, the son of Henrietta Whitley.
He was a 1981 graduate of South Natchez Adams High School and was retired from Blankenstein.
Troy was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.  He enjoyed watching sports, cooking and collecting odds and ends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Canary Speaks and one uncle, Willie Lee Whitley.
Survivors include one daughter, Angelicka J. Whitley; his mother; one brother, Donald E. Whitley Sr. and wife, Cassandra; four sisters, Janice W. Hughes and husband, Lee Wong, Angela James and husband, Amos, Dina Johnson and Traci Myles; special nephews and nieces: LeeShuan, DeWong, Taniqua, JaCaren, Amos III, Arianna, Kennedi, Donald Jr., and Andrae Jr.; and other relatives and friends.
