NATCHEZ — Natchez High School’s varsity baseball game against MHSAA Region 6-5A rival Brookhaven High School that was scheduled to take place Friday afternoon at Chester Willis Field was postponed due to incoming rain and imbedded thunderstorms.
Bulldogs head coach Dan Smith said the game will take place on Monday, April 15 at 6 p.m., but the game will now be held at Brookhaven High School.
Smith also said that Saturday’s home junior varsity and varsity games against Port Gibson High School were cancelled due to the threat of severe weather.
Natchez High is currently 9-4 overall and 6-2 in Region 6-5A with two games left in its regular season. After playing at Brookhaven next Monday, the Bulldogs will play host to Jefferson County High School for Senior Night at Chester Willis Field on Tuesday, April 16 with the JV game at 5 p.m. and the varsity game at 7 p.m.
