GLOSTER— Services for Bonnie Poindexter Nettles, 84, of Livingston, La., and a longtime resident of Vidalia, who died Sunday, March 24, 2019, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster.
Burial will follow at Roseland Cemetery in Gloster under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nettles was born Nov. 10, 1934, in Doucette, Texas, the daughter of L.C. and Jewel Poindexter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Wesley Poindexter and wife, JoHelen, William Poindexter and wife, Janie, Charles Poindexter and Jerry Poindexter.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Robert Nettles; one son, Ed Nettles and wife, Darnell; two grandsons, Scott Nettles and wife, Rachel, and Chris Nettles; two great-grandsons, Jacob and Evan Nettles; an honorary daughter, Linda Havard; two sisters, Jo Davis and husband, Jim, and Linda Jenkins and husband, Jimmie; three brothers, Wilbern Poindexter, Donnie Poindexter and Ronnie Poindexter and wife, Karen; and two sisters-in-law, Shirley Poindexter and Louise McCurley.
