NATCHEZ— Services for Charles Evans Godbold, 90, of Natchez, who died Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Adams County Nursing Center, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Eddiceton Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday, both at the funeral home.
Mr. Godbold was born May 5, 1928, in Franklin County, the son of Peyton Earl Godbold Sr. and Mattie Jean Evans Godbold.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Peyton Earl Godbold Jr.
Survivors include three children, Pamela Godbold Smith of Cortez, Colo., Craig Godbold and wife, Teresa, and Ricky Godbold and wife, Pam, all of Natchez; seven grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Tony Godbold, Jamie Rymer, Cristin Britt, Myra Perry, Sarah Godbold and Ryan Godbold; a number of great-grandchildren; one brother, Philip Godbold and wife, Evelyn; one sister-in-law, Barbara Godbold, all of Eddiceton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
