NATCHEZ — Services for Jason “Superman” Haley, 34, of Meadville, who died Saturday, March 2, 2019, will be noon Monday at New Hope Baptist Church: The Vision Center with the Rev. Leroy McFarland officiating.
Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mr. Haley was born Feb. 11, 1985, in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, the son of Raymond Haley and Linda Busse-Haley.
He was an emergency medical technician (EMT) for AMR and the assistant fire chief of Liberty Road Fire Department.
Haley recently went into remission from stage-four Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include his loving wife, Billie Haley; stepson, Jeremy Smith; his parents; one brother, Devin Haley; one sister, Lineka Haley; two grandchildren, Hannah and Haven Smith; mother-in-law, Kathy Warren; his fire and EMT families; six godchildren, Damon Purvis, Joseph and Breshan Ballard, Dalton Rider, Samuel and Matthew Beach; and a number of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Jason Haley Fund at Bank of Franklin in Meadville to help cover funeral expenses.
Jason gave his all to help the community and died protecting women and children. He was a true hero.
