NATCHEZ — Services for William Barker, 78, of Natchez, who died Friday, Jan. 24, 2019, at Meadville Convalescent Home, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Wicker officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Barker was born Dec. 4, 1940, in Hazlehurst, the son of Walter William Barker and Mattie Sonora Young Barker.
He was preceded in death his parents; his wife of 53 years, Brenda Barker; and three sisters, Mattie Merle Thornton, Evelyn Williams and Rachel Brewer.
Survivors include his brother-in-law, Kenny Gee and wife, Margaret, of Smithdale, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
