NATCHEZ — Services for Travis Barnes, 36, of Desoto, Texas, who died on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, in Texas, will be noon Saturday at Mount Sinai Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.   
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Visitation will continue from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Barnes was born April 16, 1982, in Natchez, the son of Leandrew Barnes and Joyce Lukonge.
He was a high school graduate and was employed as a baker.  Travis enjoyed quality time with family, soccer and watching football.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandfather, James Whittley; and four uncles, Edward Whittley, Delander Whittley, Tyrone Rounds and George Henyard Jr.
Survivors include his mother; two brothers, Tyrone Johnson and Jerome Galmore; three sisters, Rochelle Bell, Nichole Rogers and Shoniqa Dotie; his grandmotherS, Dorthy Whittley and Laura Jones; and other relatives and friends.
