VIDALIA — A memorial service for Robert Farris Harveston, 59, of Vidalia, who died Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 3 p.m. today at Cornerstone Church in Vidalia.
A military burial will be announced at a later date.
Mr. Harveston was born May 2, 1959, in Natchez, the son of Ted Harveston and Lavada Andrews Harveston Roberts.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Harveston was preceded in death by one sister, Darlene Sharbono; one brother, David Wayne Harveston; and two stepfathers, Harold “Buddy” Zeagler and Alvah R. Roberts.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Kyzar Harveston; his mother; his father; two daughters, Krystal Hope Harveston Keys and Tabitha Gayle Pacheco; one son, Jonathan Harveston; two stepsons, John Kyzar Huff and Benjamin Huff; two brothers, Harold A. Zeagler and Chris Newman; four grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
