Alcorn opens athletic facilities to area schools

LORMAN — Alcorn State University has embarked on a venture permitting four neighboring counties to use any of the university’s athletic facilities.
Alcorn State University has agreed to work in conjunction with superintendents to support, facilitate and encourage the usage of all athletic facilities, and to provide the necessary resources to help support on-going participation of athletic-based activities.
Alcorn State hosted its first High School Jamboree at the Jack Spinks Stadium on Saturday with three games — Amite County High vs. Bailey Magnet High, Jefferson County High vs. Wingfield High and Natchez High vs. Port Gibson High.
