FERRIDAY — Services for Nyesha Darsha Day, 24, of Clayton, who died Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Sunflower Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Phaion Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Miss Day was born July 29, 1994, in Ferriday, the daughter of Earnest Jackson II and Tawana Day Sommersville. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include two children, Tyler and Isabella Flournoy; her mother and her husband, Jazzabo, of Little Rock, Ark.; her father of Cartersville, Ga.; five brothers, Earnest Jackson IV of Cartersville, Jazzabo Sommersville III and Jha-Nnagee Sommersville of Little Rock, Mnyveni Jackson and Kwa Hyndai Day of Ferriday; stepbrother, Jammarrius Sommersville of Ferriday; eight sisters, Wy’Quidei Day and Tiera Skipper of Ferriday, JhazWyZaghea Sommersville, JhaCauGhee Sommersville and Jhaz-Najia Sommersville, all of Little Rock, Ebony and Essence of Cartersville; stepsister, Ashante Swanson; grandparents, Earl Day and wife, Geraldine and Earnest Jackson and wife, Betty, all of Ferriday; seven aunts; three uncles; two special friends, Cortland Flournoy of Ferriday and Gloria Jean Brown of Clayton; six nephews; and her neighbors, classmates, other relatives and friends.
