BRANDON — Services for Jerrell Wilson Robinson, 71, of Brandon, who died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon.
Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Robinson was born Sept. 18, 1947, in Spring Hill, La., the second of six children to Lee Roy Robinson and Niddie Mae Whitley.
He was a graduate of Natchez-Adams High School and attended Copiah Lincoln Junior College. He served 26 years in the Mississippi Air National Guard and also served in the Gulf War during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He served as a load master on the C130 and C141B Aircraft and retired as Master Sgt. He also served 46 years in telecommunications with AT&T and post retirement, he was a driver for Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Robinson was preceded in death by two daughters, Leah Nicole Case and Kathryn “K.C.” Ingle and one sister, Barbara R. Wisner.
Survivors include his wife, Donna H. Robinson; two children, Christie Martin and Jared Robinson; stepson, Jason Kimbrough; one brother, Dorwin Robinson and wife, Cindy; three sisters, Gail R. White and husband, Jack, Shelia R. Huff and husband, Robert, and Rhonda R. Smith and husband, Reggie; grandchildren, Chelsey Elqadi, Lexi Case, Lainey Ingle, Amberlyn Kelley, Braxton Kelley and Hayes Martin; great-grandchildren, Avery Little and Karter Moore; and a number of nieces and nephews.
After the death of his daughters, Mr. Robinson assisted with raising his grandchildren.
