GARDEN CITY — Services for Beatrice Williams, 109, of Garden City, who died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at her residence, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church.     
Burial will follow at Pernell Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams was born March 18, 1909, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Harrison and Sarah Longmire.
She was a faithful and devoted member of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis Williams; one son, Roger Williams; and one daughter, Bernice Lyles.
Survivors include one son, Roland Williams and wife, Phyllis S., and a number of other relatives and friends.
Beatrice was a most unique and lovely lady that even in her old age was sharp as a tack. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
