NATCHEZ — Services for Barbara Ann Thomas, 71, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at LaGrange Baptist Church with the Rev. Samuel Guice officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home’s Natchez chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Ms. Thomas was born Sept. 12, 1947, in Natchez, the daughter of Will Pickett and Bernice Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Anthony Proby; one grandson, Ashton Hawkins; two brothers, Will Charles and Larry Thomas; one sister, Diane Thomas; and one uncle, Giles Pickett.
Survivors include one son, Cedric Proby and wife, Marsha, of Southhaven; one daughter, Danielle Hawkins and husband, Anthony, of Coldwater; seven grandchildren, Tracey Davis-Jones and husband, Kevin, and Crystal Anderson, all of Natchez, Jonathan Daniel of San Antonio, Texas, Keshana Y. Proby of Southhaven, SPC Andarion Hawkins and wife, Meghan, of Kuwait, Anniyah and Ayden of Coldwater; one sister, JoAnn Bindon; three brothers, Luther Thomas of Chicago, Walter Thomas and Richard Thomas of Natchez; daughter-in-law, Angela Proby of Memphis, Tenn.; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
