NATCHEZ — A funeral mass for Mary Christine McCaa LeBlanc, 77, of Natchez, who died on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at Merit Health Natchez, will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. LeBlanc was born on March 14, 1941, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Charles Wesley McCaa Sr. and Mary Mittie Ezell McCaa.
She was a graduate of Fayette High School. She was owner of Christine and Henry’s convenience store, where she enjoyed many years of serving her customers and made countless friendships she treasured. She was also a member of St. Mary Basilica. She attended weekly Bible study and line dancing at Assumption Catholic Church with her dear group of friends. LeBlanc took great pleasure in cooking Sunday lunch, where her family gathered every week to savor her delicious home cooked meals. Her three granddaughters were the light of her life. She spent countless hours passing on to them her great pleasure of cooking, gardening and sewing, and in turn, they brought great joy to her.  She was a beloved friend of many who will miss her wisdom and charity.
LeBlanc was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Henry Edward LeBlanc Sr.
Survivors include one daughter, Monica LeBlanc Mayo and husband, Monty, of Natchez; one son, Henry Edward “Butch” LeBlanc Jr. and wife, Tina Holland LeBlanc, of Hattiesburg; three grandchildren, Katherine McCaa Mayo and Elizabeth Mary Mayo of Natchez and Chloe Marie LeBlanc of Hattiesburg; four sisters; five brothers; and a number of nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Pallbearers will be Danny Yates, Richard Adams, Bruce Ross, Jeff Sayers, Adrian Sandel and Kurt Russ.
The family extends special thanks to Dr. Edward Daly, Dr. Kenneth Stubbs of Deaconess Hospice and staff, Beverly Lawley, the wonderful staff of Merit Health Natchez, in particular the staff on two south, Dr. Jack Rodriguez, his tremendous staff and fellow patients who brought comfort to her life during this last year.
Memorial donations may be made to Judge George Armstrong Library or to St. Mary Basilica.
