VIDALIA — Services for Shirley Mae Trust Bowman, 74, of Vidalia, who died Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at Promise Hospital in Baton Rouge, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Vidalia with evangelist Ima Dunbar officiating.     
Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery beside her husband, Roosevelt Bowman, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bowman was born Jan. 14, 1944, in Vidalia, the daughter of Julius “Junior” Trust and Mary Eliza Saul Scott.
She was a member of Greater Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the mother’s board and was a member of the choir.
She was also a member of the American Legion Post 590 of Vidalia, Krewe of Heart and Soul, Vidalia Memorial Day Committee and a former member of the Rosewood Chapter No. 65 of Vidalia.
Bowman was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Don E. Scott.
Survivors include three sons, Stevie Trust and wife, Rosalyn, of Vidalia, Roosevelt Trust and wife, Sheemeka, of Las Vegas, and Johnny A. Trust and wife, Paula, of State College, Pa.; one daughter, Shelia T. Rust of Vidalia; four sisters, Delores Bell, Madeline Scott, Alma Jean Bowman and husband, Leonard, and Henrietta Ryan and husband, Carl; one aunt, Beatrice Saul; one grandson she raised from an infant, Robert Lee Gardner Jr., all of Vidalia; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
