Thornton-Loyed

Kristin Thornton of Vidalia and Robert Loyed of Fort Polk, La., were married Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Ferriday Town Hall with the Rev. Lester Cowart officiating.
Parents of the couple are Johnny Thornton of Natchez and the late Carolyn Cowart Thornton Allen and the late Tommy and Wanda Loyed of Natchez.
Other relatives include one aunt, Inita Lively of Ridgecrest and foster parents, Kenny and Charlene Rushing of Vidalia.
Music was provided by Cameron Collier. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Johnny Thornton.
She wore a capped-sleeve, satin, A-line dress with a sweetheart bodice covered in beaded lace.
Lindsey Childers Geter of Woodville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Richmond Short of Clayton and Heather Smith Skinner of Natchez.
They wore floor-length marine blue dresses.
Flower girls were Marley Geter of Woodville and Hadlee Skinner of Natchez.
Bill Stahlman of Natchez was best man. Groomsmen were Eddie Loyed of Vidalia and Tommy Loyed of Natchez.
Eli Geter of Woodville was ring bearer.
A reception followed at Ferriday Town Hall. After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will live in Vidalia.
