Larry and Babette Wommack of Central, La., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Wommack to Connor Hinson, son of Don and Becky Hinson of Denham Springs, La.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Central Private in Central and a graduate of Southeastern University in Hammond, La. She is employed by Seventh Ward Elementary School in Denham Springs.

She is the granddaughter of Gene and Marilyn Robinson of Granbury, Texas, and Jo Wommack of Hurst, Texas.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Denham Springs High School and is attending Louisiana State University School of Engineering in Baton Rouge. He is employed by Coastal Machinery in Baton Rouge.

He is the grandson of Howell and Annette McManus and the late Clara McManus and Edgar and Billie Fae Hinson, all of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Maranatha Fellowship in Baton Rouge. A reception will follow at Forest Grove Plantation.
