Kenya King was also charged with resisting an officer. All three men were booked into the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Carlos King is currently being held on felony warrants for the Natchez Police Department.

According to reports from the Vidalia Police Department, at approximately 9:13 p.m. Thursday a complaint of a fight involving several suspects on Martin Luther King Drive was called in to the VPD.

VPD officers arrived on the scene while the fight was still in progress and immediately began to try and break up the altercation.

During the time the officers were trying to break up the fight and maintain order, a subject received lacerations and was taken to Natchez Regional Medical Center.

VPD Chief Arthur Lewis said his department is still at work investigating the case.

“Our investigators are speaking to witnesses to find the individual responsible for wounding the victim,” he said. “The citizens of Vidalia do not deserve this type of behavior in their neighborhoods, and we at Vidalia Police Department will not tolerate this type of activity in our community.”

Owens and Carlos King were both given a $351 bond, while Kenya King was released on a $737 bond.
