Declutter Saturday for Humane Society

I’ve got so much stuff it makes my heart flutter. Don’t think like that. It’s time to declutter.

You are cordially invited to participate in International Declutter Day, which is being observed on Saturday this year.

Dig through your closets, storage units and carports to donate items to the Paws for a Cause thrift stores, which benefit the Natchez Adams County Humane Society.

We will be accepting your donations of furniture, dishes, jewelry, paintings, prints, pot and pans, towels, linens, whatnots, rugs, hats, purses, shoes, toys, baby supplies, Christmas, Halloween and Easter decorations, luggage and exercise equipment. The list is almost endless. We have lots of clothes and books but we will not turn those items down. We can turn your discarded items into money to buy dog and cat food and to meet the needs of the homeless animals at the Humane Society.

We are very grateful for the many people who donate their leftover items after garage sales.

We appreciate everybody who visits and supports our shops.

Our two stores are located on 101 Shields Lane (open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.) and 12 Ridgeway Drive located on U.S. 61 south behind the old Kaiser gas station. This store is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Please do not drop off items after hours because we want to make sure that we receive them.

If you need help or have any questions, please call me at 601-660-5268 or email me at suscallon@yahoo.com.

You will feel so much better after you have decluttered your home. The extra bonus will be that you have helped the homeless fur babies at the shelter by providing food, medical costs and medical treatments.

Remember your heart won’t flutter if you declutter.

We look forward to seeing you.

Susan Callon is a supporter of the Natchez Adams County Humane Society.
