NATCHEZ — Services for Emma Ivory, 90, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Natchez Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at Egypt Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home. A celebration of life wake service will be at 7 p.m. today with visitation to follow at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Miss Ivory was born March 10, 1928, in Natchez, the daughter of Robert Ivory and Emma Davis Ivory. She attended Overton School.
Miss Ivory was a member of Egypt Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Pastor’s Aid Club. She also had a membership with the Lilly of the Valley Club at St. Peter Baptist Church. Ivory enjoyed fishing, crocheting and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Ibby Ivory Tucker, Willis Ivory Sr., Hester Ivory Christmas, Joseph Ivory Sr., Edward Ivory and Dorothy Ivory Batteast.
Survivors include 10 nephews; eight nieces and a number of other relatives, friends and neighbors.
