NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Alan Dwayne Carlock, 67, of Aberdeen, formerly of Natchez, who died Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, will be noon Friday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Bruce Seger of Jacksonville, Fla., officiating.
Burial will be at Adams Methodist Cemetery in Auburn under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until service time Friday, both at the funeral home.
Mr. Carlock was born Aug. 25, 1951, in Natchez, the son of Floyd Lenfield Carlock and Mabel Louise Wilson Carlock.
He was a member of Aberdeen Church of Christ and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
Carlock received his bachelor’s degree from McNeese State University and a master’s +30 degree from the University of Louisiana Monroe. He was a retired educator, coach and principal. He was also retired from law enforcement and was an employee of E.A. Redd Pest Control.
Carlock was preceded in death his parents; one sister, Reece Junkin; two nephews, Keith and Lionel Brooks; and one great-nephew, Eric Brooks.
Survivors include his wife, Gayle Redd Carlock; one son, Bradley Carlock and wife, Amanda; one grandson, Andrew Carlock; one granddaughter, Adrian Carlock; and a number of other relatives and friends.
