CLAYTON — Services for Willie James Turner Sr., 67, of Alexandria, La., formerly of Clayton, who died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mark Baptist Church in Clayton with the Rev. Charles Gilmore of Alexandria officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery, with military honors, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mr. Turner was born June 23, 1951, in Clayton, the son of Lloyd and Mary Turner.
He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He was also a retired cook.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Butcher Turner; three sons, Willie Turner Jr. of Temple Hills, Md., Derrick Turner of Pfhugerville, Texas, and Reginald Turner of Alexandria; four brothers; four sisters; three grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
