NATCHEZ — The Adams County Courthouse will be closed Wednesday because of a break in the main water line to the building.

Adams County Circuit Clerk Eddie Walker announced the closure of the building on social media Tuesday night.

“Everything has to be shut down so they are able to get through the courthouse to break and fix it,” Walker wrote. “It will be a large undertaking breaking through the lower wall and bracing it. I pray they are able to get to it from the outside. If not, they will have to go through my office.”

Walker said the courthouse is set to reopen Thursday at 8 a.m.
