Tony Griffin of Rayville, La., and Cassandra Knight of Natchez, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sedni Griffin to Johntrell Irving, son of Theresa Irving and the late Johnny Minor of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Alcorn State University in Lorman.

She is employed by Irving Independent School District in Irving, Texas.

She is the granddaughter of Evelyn N. Williams and the late Arthur Williams of Irving, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Griffin Sr. of Cannonsburg.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Riverside Baptist Church School in Natchez and is employed by Southeast Logistics in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

He is the grandson of Beulah Irving and the late Arthur Irving and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Minor, all of Natchez.

The wedding will be 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at Forest Aid Baptist Church in Natchez.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at Vidalia Convention Center.
