NATCHEZ — Family graveside services for Clarence Greene Prospere, 94, of Church Hill, who died Friday, May 13, 2011, at his residence, will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery with the Rev. Brant Dick officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Prospere was born Jan. 13, 1917, in Statesville, N.C., the son of Clarence Greene Prospere Sr. and Bertie Walser Prospere.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Vincent Walser Prospere.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Prospere; one daughter, Susan Prospere of Houston, Texas; two sons, Robert Prospere and wife, Kathy, of Natchez and Jim Prospere of Los Angeles; and special caregivers, Valerie Davis, Nicole Kaho, Hazel Lee and Sarah Madison.

Memorials may be made to the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society.
