Firefighters from Natchez Fire Department stations 3 and 4 responded to a trailer house fire at 10:16 p.m. Saturday.
The trailer house located at 387 Sedgefield Road in Adams County was vacant at the time of the fire, said Capt. Roy Robertson of the Natchez Fire Department. Robertson said he did not personally work at the fire scene.
No one was injured in the blaze that destroyed the trailer house, Robertson said.
Firefighters battled the fire until just before 1 a.m. Sunday, fire reports indicated.
Battalion Chief Leland Rymer, who also did not work the fire Saturday night, said reports said the cause of the fire has yet to be determined, and that the trailer appeared to have been abandoned.
“A passerby must have called it in,” Rymer said. “Nobody showed up to claim it.”
Rymer said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
