NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Harold Dempsey White, 88, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018 at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 7, 2018 at Kingston United Methodist Church with the Rev. Danny Speed and the Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.
Burial will follow at Jersey Settlers Cemetery in Kingston under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the church.
Mr. White was born Aug. 19, 1929 in Natchez, the son of William Bonham White and Mary E. Bailey White.
He was a member of Kingston United Methodist Church and was the owner and operator of Plantation Farm Supply. Mr. White was a cattle farmer for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Melanie Tiffee White, one brother, James White, and one sister, Mildred Stockett.
He is survived by: Dempsey White and wife, Rhonda, and Boyd White and wife, Pam, all of Natchez; 10 grandchildren: Richard White and wife, Kristy, Nan Knight and husband, Jeremy, Matt Merritt, Amber Horner, Brandi Jones, Will Merritt and wife, Connie, Amos Merritt, Hannah Merritt, B. J. White, and Christopher White; 18 great grandchildren; one brother: William White of Tacoma, Washington; one special friend: Libby Lee; one special pet: Tiffee, and a number of Nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Richard White, Jeremy Knight, Matt Merritt, Will Merritt, Amos Merritt, B. J. White and Christopher White.
Honorary Pallbearers will be David Atkins, Jack Sojourner, Dr. Ken Stubbs, Hoss Serio, and Joe Faust.
A very heartfelt thanks to Cindy for many years of loving and caring for our father.
