FERRIDAY — Funeral services for Jessie Ray Charrier Sr., 72, of Vidalia who died Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday will be at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Sharp Jr. officiating.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Charrier was born on Wednesday, July 10, 1946 in Jonesville, the son of Willie “Willis” Charrier and Delphia White Charrier.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janie Pauline Charrier; two granddaughters, Rebecca Nicole Charrier and Jgeanaya McGonagil; three brothers, Leonard Charrier Sr., Zeal Charrier and Lloyd Charrier and two sisters, Marilyn Ann Dixon and Merle Earline Thomas

Survivors include one three sons, Jessie Charrier Jr. and his wife Christina of Orlando, Virgil Charrier and his wife Tracie of Nederland, Brad Charrier of Rayville; daughter, Christy Charrier of Gilbert; sister, Norma Elaine Dabbs of Vidalia; four grandsons, Morgan Charrier, Joseph Charrier, Justin Norris and Christopher Charrier; three granddaughters, Jessica Charrier, Hannah Holomon and Brooklyn Delaney and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Leonard Charrier Jr., Justin Norris, Barry Sharp, Morgan Charrier, Daryl Marace and Christopher Charrier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Charrier and Jerry Sharp Sr.
