NATCHEZ – Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Thesselon Monderson is the Merit Heath Natchez medical staff and has joined Dr. Daniel McCallum in the Merit Health Medical Group orthopedics clinic.

After receiving his doctor of medicine from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., Monderson completed his residency in orthopedic surgery from Howard University Hospital.

Board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Monderson also holds a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Monderson specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries, illnesses and deformities affecting the many components of the musculoskeletal system, which includes bones, muscles, tendons, joints and ligaments.

“My mission is to provide competent orthopedic care to the community and clinical decision making based on shared values, mutual understanding and respect between my patients and me,” Monderson said.

Merit Health CEO Lance Boyd said Monderson is a welcome addition to the medical staff.

“We know he will be an asset to an already strong and reputable orthopedic clinic,” Boyd said. “With his experience in joint replacements, we look forward to his help in building a Joint Replacement Program at Merit Health Natchez.”

McCallum said he look sforward to working withMonderson and continuing to build the orthopedic services and surgeries for those in the community.

“My wife and I are looking forward to calling Natchez home and getting involved in the community,” Monderson said.
