Kent Wilson

NATCHEZ — A family service for Kent Wilson, 91, who died Friday, July 6, 2018, will be at a later date in Natchez.
Arrangements are under the direction of O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Homes in Gautier.
Mr. Wilson was raised in Natchez, the son of Martin T. Wilson and Beulah Laura Griffith.
He was a 1944 graduate of Natchez High School. In 1945, he joined the U.S. Army Aircorp and served with a phototec squadron in Bad Kissengen, Germany. After his army service ended, he attended Mississippi State University on the G.I. Bill.
Wilson married Frances Moritz on Sept. 10, 1950. They had two children, a son, Martin and a daughter, Laura.
He was employed by International Paper Company for 37 years.
Wilson loved playing golf and following Mississippi State athletics.
He was preceded in death by his wife and son.
Survivors include his daughter and husband, Vic; one granddaughter, Rachel and husband, Preston; and one great-grandson, Robert.
The family wishes to thank Shawn Wozencraft for being such a wonderful friend and neighbor.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
