NATCHEZ — A Domino’s Pizza delivery driver got a surprise on what was supposed to be an ordinary delivery Saturday night.

About 10:30 p.m. the delivery driver arrived at a house on West Stiers Lane ready to make a delivery, but instead the driver was robbed at gunpoint, Natchez Police Department Sgt. Craig Godbold said.

“He walked up to the house to make the delivery and a girl approached with a guy,” Godbold said. “She started counting out money, when the guy allegedly pointed a gun at him and took the pizzas.”

Godbold said the suspects got away with just the pizzas.

Responding officers got a good physical description of the female and male suspects and Godbold said they are close to making an arrest in the case.

“We have been able to track them pretty easily,” he said.

“We have the cell phone number the order was placed from and have been able to track them down that way.”

But until an arrest is made, Godbold said the investigation is ongoing.
