Mississippi firefighter in intensive care after being injured in Jackson house fire

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — A Mississippi firefighter is recovering from burns received while battling a house fire.
Jackson Division Fire Chief Cleotha Sanders said the unnamed firefighter was injured early Monday morning in northwest Jackson.
Sanders says the firefighter was hospitalized in intensive care but is expected to fully recover.
A neighbor recorded video of flames burning through the roof. A firefighter can be seen in the video being pulled to the street.
Two residents escaped safely before firefighters arrived, family members say.
The cause of the fire isn’t immediately known.
