Mrs. Lea was born in Mize, the daughter of Carl Yelverton and Daisy Bryant Yelverton. She and her husband, Denver, lived in Natchez for 34 years, where she was bookkeeper and part-owner of Medical Arts and Morgantown Pharmacies. In 1994 she and her husband moved to Clinton. “T,” as friends called her, enjoyed being involved in her church, fishing with her husband, traveling, reading, watching football, especially her beloved Ole Miss Rebels, and playing Mexican Train dominoes weekly with her friends. She was a loving, caring lady who put others before herself, especially her family, and she was a wonderful cook and teller of family tales. She touched and impacted many lives and has left a legacy of love and faith. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Denver Luke Lea Jr.; her sister, Cleda Yelverton Magee of Magee and an infant grandson.

Survivors include one son, Clarence Wilton and wife, Beth, of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter, Barbara Jean Lea Campbell and husband, Bill, of Clinton; one foster son, Alyson Coyle and wife, Ruty, of Piedmont, Oklahoma; one step-son, Dan Lea; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, with number 15 due in July, and her “boys,” Bob and Richard Catlett of Clinton.
