VIDALIA — While summer baseball is in full swing, a host of area softball leagues are also gearing up for all-star tournaments throughout Mississippi and Louisiana.

To follow your favorite team, take a took at a summer schedule.

Natchez-Adams Dixie Softball

The Natchez-Adams Girls Softball

The Natchez-Adams Girls Softball League will host district tournaments for all ages groups including 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 in Natchez at the complex behind Natchez High School. All tournaments will begin in two weeks and last one or two days depending on the number of teams.

The state tournament for Sweeties will begin July 6 in Lawrence County.

The Darlings’ state tournament will begin July 13 in Mendenhall.

The Angels will play their state tournament beginning on July 13 in Magee.

The Ponytails will begin state tournament play on July 6 in Taylorsville.

The Belles will also play their state tournament in Magee beginning on July 13.

The Debs’ state tournament will begin July 6 in Taylorsville.

Vidalia Little League Softball

Vidalia Little League Softball will be busy with five age groups and a few local tournaments.

The 7-8 All-Stars will not play a district tournament. Their state tournament will begin on June 22 in Jonesboro, Louisiana.

The 9-10 All-Stars will host both their district and state tournaments in Vidalia at the Concordia Recreational Complex. The district tournament will be June 18-19 and host two teams. The state tournaments will begin on June 29 and host eight teams for approximately four days, depending on the brackets.

The 11-12 All-Stars will begin district play on June 16 in Bunkie, La. and will begin state tournament play on July 6 in River Ridge, Louisiana.

The Vidalia 14U All-Star team will not play a district tournament and will begin postseason play on July 6 at the state tournament. If they are to advance, the regional tournament will be in Albuquerque, N.M. and the World Series will be in Kirkland, Washington.

The Vidalia 16U All-Star Team will advance straight to regionals for hosting the eight-team tournament from July 20-25 in Vidalia. One team will advance to the World Series in Lower Sussex, Delaware.

Ferriday Gators

The Ferriday Gators Dixie Softball Team will continue to play regular season intersquad games through the end of the month.

One all-star team complied from the two regular season teams will begin postseason play June 30 in Delhi, La. The state tournament will begin July 14 in Madisonville, Louisiana. If advanced, the Gators will play in the World Series hosted in Alexandria, Louisiana.
