Support the military, first responders on May 26

Members of the Junior Auxiliary of Natchez invite all of our Military families out to the Duncan Park Canteen 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 26 to enjoy our Military Appreciation Day.
Because May also is First Responders Appreciation month, we are asking those families to be in attendance as well.
Members of the community are encouraged to come out and bring the kids as we will have games and snacks for the young ones and vendors for the adults, including the unique wood crafts of a local veteran, Clyde Ellzey.
It is our desire, in JA, to say thank you to those who have given so selflessly for our freedom and protection both at home and abroad. We cannot express our gratitude enough, but we hope that this day of family and fun will, in some way, show what our words often fail to convey — we are forever in your gratitude.
Any veterans in attendance will receive special recognition, as will any first responders. Members of the Adams County Volunteer Fire Service will be on hand, with a truck and Marshall the Fire Pup, to encourage fire safety and the importance of volunteer fire service in our area.
A cake walk also will take place. We will have more than a dozen delicious homemade cakes available, so you do not want to miss this.
If you are in the area on May 26, please come to the Duncan Park Canteen and enjoy this day with us and show your appreciation for those who have done so much for us.
If you have any questions about the day or would like to know more about vendor space, please call Morgan at 601-597-8244 or Sarah at 601-431-5141.
Morgan Mizell is a member of the Junior Auxiliary.
