John Lee Calcote III

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. — John Lee Calcote III, 55, of Tarpon Springs, Fla., formerly of Natchez, died Monday, March 26, 2018. Surrounded by his loving family, John Lee peacefully answered his Father’s call with, “Yes, Lord.” He loved his family and knew how much they loved him.
John Lee was born Sept. 15, 1962, the son of John and Linda Calcote of Destin, Fla. He grew up in Natchez. After graduating high school, he served his country in the U.S. Navy. He surrendered his life to Jesus as a young adult and sought to bring Him glory in his life and work.
John Lee had an adventurous spirit. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed sharing this passion with his wife, Stephanie. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He brought laughter and joy to everyone he met and had a contagious smile. His sincere compassion for others was evident in his dedication to his family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife and best friend, Stephanie Calcote; three daughters, Jewel and Gracie of Denton, Texas, and Lily of Tarpon Springs; two stepdaughters, Madisyn Beard Newbaker of Biloxi and Lindsey Beard of Lakewood, Colo.; one stepson, Josh Beard of Tarpon Springs; his parents, John and Linda Calcote of Destin; one sister, Minda Calcote of Brandon; and one brother, Derrick Calcote of Lakeland, Tenn.
