With the resort set to open soon, Margaritaville Vicksburg now has to fill its workforce.

The resort, which will include a hotel, Margaritaville restaurant, arcade and pool area will be hosting a job fair May 22-23 at the Vicksburg Convention Center.

Vicksburg Hotel LLC representative Greg Stewart said they will be hiring 140 people for a variety of positions. There is a mix of full-time and part time positions.

Company representative Taylor Stork said they will be doing on the spot interviews and people should be notified within a few days whether they have been hired.

Available positions include front desk agents, baristas, housekeeping, bartenders, cooks, pool attendants and more.

According to a release, Margaritaville offers employees, “medical, dental and vision insurance, team member discounts and opportunities for growth.”

The two-day job fair will go from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at the VCC, 1600 Mulberry St.

Stewart said that the entire resort will open in June, but no concrete date has been set. That will include the pool area, which will be built atop the adjacent parking garage, and will include a water slide.
