FLOWOOD — The Cathedral 4×800 meter relay team — made of Ryan Skates, Ty Bertelsen, Zack Mann and Cade Miller — won the event in Class AAA at the MAIS State track meet on Saturday.

Not only did the team claim gold, but it almost broke a state record — falling short by two seconds.
