WATERPROOF — Services for Cleveland Henry Brown Sr., 91, of Waterproof, who died Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Heritage Manor Health and Rehab, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Adrian Lundy officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Brown was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Waterproof, the son of Hosea Brown and Rosie Anderson.

Mr. Brown served as past worshipful master and was a 60-year member of Mason of Pride of Waterproof No. 71.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Lula Levy Brown; six sons, Cleveland Brown Jr. and wife, Deborah, of Los Angeles, Jewel Brown and wife, Angelica, of Little Rock, Ark., Adrian Brown and wife, Mary, of Waterproof, Arthur Hollimon and wife, Linda, of Columbus, Ga., Adrian Perkins and wife, Sherrie, and Paul Parker and wife, Deidra, all of Irving, Texas; eight daughters, Lydia Battle and husband, James, Carolyn Jessie and husband, Carlton, all of Carson, Calif., Delores Harrell and husband, Robert, of Beaumont, Texas, Janet Brown of Los Angeles, Rosemary Evans of Chicago, Grethchen Williams and husband, Kevin, of Zachary, La., Tammy Hill and husband, Odis, of Bastrop, La., and Paulette Seahorn and husband, James, of Desoto, Texas; one brother, James Williams of Apple, Calif.; two sisters, Gladys Howard and husband, Charles, of Las Vegas, and Rosie Turner and husband, Archie, of Waterproof; 44 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
