Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Corey was born July 31, 1992, in Natchez, the son of Bryant Adams and Teresa Lofton Adams. He was a graduate of Natchez High School and attended Southwest Community College on a soccer scholarship. He graduated from Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Corey was employed by Concordia Bank and Trust Company.

Corey had a passion for church, soccer and his family and friends. Most every Sunday, you could find Corey in church ready to greet you with a smile. If you didn’t catch him at church, you could usually find him on or around a soccer field. He loved playing the game, but he might have enjoyed coaching or refereeing a local game just as much. It was Corey’s goal to help grow the sport of soccer in the community. Corey also had a great love for his friends and family. He was always ready to catch a movie with a friend or go ride four wheelers with family at the camp. Anyone who came in contact with Corey were given a prime example of how to live.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandfather, Ed Adams; and grandmother, Dorothy Royston.

Survivors include his mother of Natchez; three brothers, Joshua Adams and fiancée, Molly Butts, of Natchez, Lance Adams and Dustin Adams; grandparents, Barbara Adams and George Royston; his girlfriend, Kate Gooding of Delaware; a good friend, Stephen Gilland; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Justin Adams, Steve Adams, Paul Burns, Taylor Davis, Jarett Pollan and Ross Smith.

The family requests memorials be made in Corey’s name to: Miss-Lou Soccer Club, misslousoccer.com/sponsors or Adams County Christian School Soccer Program.
