NATCHEZ — A plan to take Natchez’s downtown “to a new level” will inch closer to its final form today when city officials discuss their revisions to the plan.
After many months of deliberating and fine-tuning, leaders will meet at 4 p.m. today in the City Council Chambers regarding the downtown master plan, commissioned by local non-profit FOR Natchez.
The consulting group behind the plan, headed by former Natchez City Planner Phil Walker, unveiled the final draft of the plan in February.
The plan then underwent a final round of revisions based on recommendations from the public before heading to the desks of Mayor Darryl Grennell and the Natchez Board of Aldermen.
