After getting passed up in the 2018 NFL Draft, standout Alcorn State University running back De’Lance Turner still found a home through an undrafted free agent deal.
Turner confirmed reports Saturday night via Twitter he has signed a deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
In his three years as a Brave, Turner ran for 2,139 yards, 15 touchdowns and was a FCS AP All-American.
The back from McLain will compete with others in Baltimore such as Alex Collins, Kenneth Dixon, John Crockett, Terrance West and fellow undrafted rookie free agent Gus Edwards for a roster spot.
However, Turner is open to doing whatever it takes to earn a roster spot.
“Where ever they put me (I will play it),” Turner said to The Natchez Democrat a few weeks ago. “I don’t care. As long as I get a shot.”
