Doris Bailey Bush

NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Doris Bailey Bush, 96, of Natchez, who died Friday, April 20, 2018 at her residence, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Broome officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. Monday until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bush was born March 19, 1922 in Summerfield, La., the daughter of Jeff Bailey and Mazie Moss Bailey. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Natchez and an avid bridge player.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norval Otis Bush; two brothers: Travis Bailey and Arnold Bailey, and three sisters: Catherine Maples, Oleta Perry, and Betty Walton.

Survivors include two sons: Thomas R. Bush and wife, Carol Ann, of Cabot, Ark., and Kenneth S. Bush and wife, Jane, of Natchez; one sister: Corrine Maum; three brothers: Mark Bailey, Joe Bailey, and David Bailey; four grandchildren: Amy Bush Moon, Tate Bush Cullum and husband, Eric, of Ark., Steven T. Bush and wife, Meghan of Tupelo, and Lindsey Bush Lewis and husband, Steven, of Starkville; eight great grandchildren: Madison and Marley Moon, Thomas and Caroline Cullum, Maci and Easton Bush, and Grant and Collin Lewis and faithful caregiver, Katie Anderson.

Pallbearers will be Paul Allen, Glen Harrison, Steven Bush, Steven Lewis, Eric Cullum, and Thomas Cullum.

Memorials may be made St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the First Baptist Church in Natchez.
