FERRIDAY — Two Ferriday women were arrested Tuesday after allegedly assisting in a November 2017 armed robbery.

Bryeanna C. Bradstreet, 24, and Angel A. Morris, 26, both of 200 Kyle Road, were arrested on charges of accessory after the fact to commit an armed robbery. Both were being held Tuesday in the Concordia Parish jail without bond.

Sgt. Chris Groh of the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office said authorities believe that on Nov. 9, 2017, Morris — who was living in Houston at the time — transported Javonte Terry from Houston to Concordia Parish.

Two days later, Morris and Bradstreet allegedly also retrieved Darrel Davis from Houston, he said.

On Nov. 17, Davis and Terry allegedly robbed the HandiPak in Ridgecrest, taking approximately $3,000 and a 9-millimeter handgun from the store, Groh said.   

The two men held the owner and owner’s 13-year-old son on the floor of the business while the robbery was in process, Groh said.

The car the two men used to drive to and from Ridgecrest, Groh said, belonged to Morris.

After the robbery, the two men allegedly returned to Morris and Bradstreet’s apartment. The next day, Groh said, the two women confessed to receiving $100 payments each to take Terry and Davis back to Houston.

Groh said in a video interview with sheriff’s deputies, the two women confessed to having knowledge of the armed robbery after the event and to receiving money for the two men’s transportation.

Sheriff’s deputies are in the process of obtaining warrants for the arrest of Terry and Davis, who are in custody in Houston, but Groh said he might have to wait a long time before the men are returned to Concordia Parish.

A combined total of 18 other charges for armed robbery are pressed against on the two men in Houston, Groh said.

Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy David Hedrick said he was very proud of the work of his investigators and deputies.

“They are very thorough and meticulous with what they do,” Hedrick said. “I believe we have the best detectives in the state.”
