FERRIDAY — Services for Jerri Myer Pierce, 86, of Ferriday, who died Monday, April 16, 2018, at Rapides General Medical Center, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Rev. John Pardue officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today with a rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pierce was born Oct. 7, 1931, in Mangham, La., the daughter of Charles Hampton and Ertie Hampton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Myer; two sisters, Dorris Howard and Josephine Howard; one daughter, Marisa Hughey; one grandson, Daniel Hughey; and son-in-law, David Hughey.

Survivors include her husband, Sam Pierce; one daughter, Lisa Willard of Lake St. John; one son, Meigs Myer of Pineville, La.; two stepdaughters, Katie McCarty and husband, Marc, of Wisner, La., and Margaret Pierce and companion, Paula Ouder, of Baton Rouge; two stepsons, Tim Pierce of Tennessee, and Patrick Pierce and wife, Robin, of Natchez; one sister, Hazel Ferrell of Natchez; four grandchildren, Landon Willard, Lacey Middleton and husband, Wells, Kaitlyn Hughey and Mathew Hughey and wife, Amanda; four great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Kinsley, Conrad and Kinzie; eight step-grandchildren, Erin Spurrier, Alison McCarty, Drew McCarty, Ashley Doyal, Elizabeth Pierce, Rachel McDaniel, Blake Richard and P.J.; and two step-great-grandchildren, Ruby and Millie.

Pallbearers will be Pat Pierce, J.L. Barker, Marc McCarty, Tommy Ferrell, Davis Corbett, Landon Willard and Max Howard.

Honorary pallbearer will be Mathew Hughey.
