Mr. and Mrs. James Emory Smith of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Emory Caroline Smith to Andrew Calhoun Daniel, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Calhoun Daniel of Marietta, Ga.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez and the University of Mississippi in Oxford with a bachelor’s degree in public policy and a master’s degree in business administration. She is currently employed by KRONOS, a global software company in Denver.
Miss Smith is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lucien C. Gwin Jr. and Mr. Weathersby Godbold Carter, all of Natchez, and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Smith of Natchez.
The groom-to-be is a graduate of Walton High School in Marietta, Ga., and the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in accounting. He is a certified public accountant, employed by KPMG in Denver.
Mr. Daniel is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Guye William Daniel of Atlanta and Mr. William Richard Bass and the late Mrs. William Richard Bass of Cumming, Ga.
The wedding will be 6:30 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Brandon Hall in Natchez.
A reception immediately follow the ceremony.
Formal invitations were sent.
After a honeymoon to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, the couple will reside in Denver.
