GLOSTER — Services for James Lloyd Taylor, 77, of Crosby, who died Friday, April 13, 2018, at A.M.G. Specialty Hospital in Zachary, La., will be 2 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster with the Rev. Warren Whitaker officiating.

Burial will follow at Enloe Cemetery on Silver Creek Road near Crosby, under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Taylor was born Dec. 3, 1940, in Oberlin, La., the son of Joseph Leo Taylor and Ena Manuel Taylor. He retired from Angola Louisiana State Penitentiary as a correction officer. He was also a U.S. Army veteran and worked with the fire department.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Earl Taylor.

Survivors include his wife, Mary P. Taylor; one daughter, Kim Fontenot Taylor; one son, Steve Taylor; one sister, Barbara Murray and husband, Lee; three grandchildren; one niece, Jennifer Leon; and one nephew, Ross Murray.
