NATCHEZ — Services for Dennis Earl Hooker, 50, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 9, 2018, at Merit Health-River Region Hospital in Vicksburg, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel at West Gate Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today with a celebration of life wake service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Dennis was born on April 18, 1967, in Natchez, the son of Eddie Hooker Sr. and Ida Mae Hall Hooker.
He was educated in the Natchez School District and he was Baptist. Dennis enjoyed laughing, spending time with family, fishing and was a fan of the Pittsburg Steelers.
He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Maggie Hall and Shirley Johnson.
Survivors include his mother; one son, Landan Hooker; two daughters, Keyana Hooker and LaShauna Fleming; three brothers, Eddie Hooker Jr., Dunk Edward Hall and Louis Davis; two sisters, Lynda Hall and Essie Hooker Granger; four grandsons, Ashton Hollins, Dalton Johnson Jr., Braylon Holmes and Kayden Johnson; and other relatives and friends.
