NATCHEZ — The first week of May is annually recognized as National Travel and Tourism Week, a tradition first celebrated in 1984.
Mississippi will join the nation in celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week May 7-15.
Localized events are presented in cities, states, and travel businesses nationwide to champion the power of travel.

Throughout the week there will be crafts, exhibits, fine arts, local artists, restaurants, attractions and representatives from our local and surrounding areas to promote tourism.
The public is invited to all events, to tour the visitor information center and to view the exhibits during the center’s business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday
